Catalyst Consulting is a Strategic Partner and approved distributor of the full range of professional, personal effectiveness, management and leadership training workshops from JDNeale & Associates, otherwise known as Scarecrow Workshops NA.
- We customise the workshops to suit Asian based multinational Clients whilst retaining the design integrity of the workshop. Workshops can be combined with or customized with a Client's own internal materials.
- The workshops are modularized for maximum flexibility. Workshop modules can be delivered as a stand alone 3-hour module or combined into 1-3 day workshops.
- Many of these workshops have been delivered to international companies like Norasia, Honeywell Technology Solutions, Alliance Mortgage, Ann Taylor Retail Inc., Sears Roebuck and IDS Marketing (Li & Fung Group).
- The Workshops address the following management and leadership dilemmas and principles:
|
Managers maintain (preserve the core) Leaders improve (stimulate progress)
Preserve the Core – Managers control, troubleshoot, limit variables, and are more task-oriented. They monitor, evaluate, and, if necessary, take steps to fix performance issues to ensure employees meet the expectations of their job.
Stimulate Progress – Leaders instruct, encourage, inspire, and are more people-oriented. They are primarily concerned with creating profound changes by helping people "own" their work and move toward long-term career growth and satisfaction.
Managers at all levels lead by using personal and interpersonal skills to create constructive change (improvements) in and through people. They improve by breaking and forming habits in themselves (learning), individuals (coaching), and groups (team building).
At Catalyst we are committed to working with people to facilitate the discovery and development of these skills and behaviours. |

| The Essential Manager |
Summary |
|
The Complete Essential Manager Workshop Managers receive foundational instruction in Personal Leadership (Core Communication & Interpersonal Skills, Time Management), One-on-One Leadership (Coaching & Performance Management Skills) and Group Leadership (Team Building & Conflict/Managing Differences). |
| The Performance Partnership |
(Performance I) Performance is improved by creating an ongoing partnership that follows a clear continuous process. Our approach provides Managers with a 4-step Performance Improvement Cycle that meets the unique needs of individual employees. |
| Coaching Essentials |
(Coaching I) |
| Coaching For Hearts & Minds |
(Coaching II) Based on Peter Senge's "learning organization" principles, Manager Coaches learn to flex and apply 4 situational based coaching styles to move individuals through learning stages until targeted skills become second nature. They also help individuals embrace a mindset of ownership and personal improvement. |
| Leading Teams For Great Results |
Team leaders and team members, need to appreciate the differences of individuals and build synergies between coworkers to move from workgroups to true teams. We explore how to build meaningful relationships that create a respectful and productive work environment and move groups through the various team development stages. |
| Change to Survive & Thrive |
(Change I) Change is inevitable; the only question is: in which direction? This workshop examines the nature of progressive change, how employees cope with changes at work, and how change agents lead employees in a constantly changing work environment. |
| Communication - The Inter-Personal Difference |
(Communication I) Managers communicate constantly and in various ways. We emphasize the importance of interpersonal communication to create clarity and build relationships in one-on-one and small group interactions. The module covers interpersonal skills, written and non-verbal communication skills. |
| Time To Make the Most of Your Day |
Traditional time management approaches support doing more things in less time. Our approach helps managers lead themselves to make tough choices, make time for continuous improvement, and form vital personal habits. |
| Conflict / Managing Differences |
Workplace conflict and differences is natural and — handled the right way — essential for moving an organization forward. We examine how supervisors/managers can turn destructive conflicts into constructive sources of innovation. |
