A&DC products include leading-edge offline and online assessment solutions, which support a number of key HR processes, including external recruitment, internal selection, succession planning, career management and learning and development. Each product takes into account best practice and complies with strict quality procedures to put Clients in a position whereby they can minimize risk and optimize return on investment in these critical areas of people strategy.
There are over 150 Assessment & Development Centre Exercises which include group exercises, internal and external interview simulations, and analysis exercises to name but a few. The exercises cover 5 management levels across 10 business functions, 10 industry sectors and 35 core competencies.
Assessment & Development Centres
Our full range of Assessment & Development Centre Exercises can be ordered by contacting Catalyst Consulting directly. Exercises cover industry sectors from Engineering to Retail; set in business functions ranging from Finance to Personnel. All levels of exercise difficulty are available, from graduate entry to extremely challenging for the most Senior Team. All Exercises have been thoroughly tried and tested.
We will also be happy to customise any Off-the-Shelf exercise from the A&DC range to more closely reflect your own organisation's business environment.
To help you make your choice, we have developed a series of Suites which reflect the "typical" way our Clients apply the exercises in practice, combined with an overview of the economy and the way that work is likely to change in the next generation.
The Suites will enable you to run one complete Centre for twelve participants, which is the most common number, in our experience.

Exercise Components
Each exercise consists of a number of different documents which each play a part in the implementation of the exercise. These components are available separately so you can purchase the exact quantities you require. The various documents are as follows:
Administrator's Instructions
One copy is required by the person responsible for administering the exercise
Instructions for the Participant
One copy is required for every Participant who will be expected to do the exercise
Participant Report Form
This is supplied with the Instructions for the Participant
Instructions for the Roleplayer or Resource Person
Only required for the Interview Simulation and Fact Find Exercises
Roleplayer Report Form
This is provided with each Interview Simulation Instructions for Participant
Guide for Assessors
These are available for each exercise. They are re-usable but each Assessor needs to have their own copy
Assessor Report Form
One copy is required for every Participant being assessed on an exercises. Assessors should complete one of these forms for each exercise they assess.

Registration Policy
To ensure the highest professional and ethical standards in the area of Assessment Centre Practice, we request potential users of A&DC materials to register with us to assess current capability levels.
We do not wish to oblige anyone to undertake a training course where they are able to demonstrate acceptable levels of training and experience. On the other hand, in the interests of the Participants, we would not accept a potential user whose training and experience is insufficient.
The following will be acceptable without further training:
- Training by A&DC, Catalyst Consulting and other established practitioners in the design and full administration of Assessment Centres.
- The ability to demonstrate a reasonable level of experience of organising and running Assessment/ Development Centres over the last 5 years.
- If you fulfill the above criteria, there is a one-off charge of HK$ 950 / S$ 190 for registering with us. This charge is to cover initial administration costs, access to the A&DC network and best practice information and a registered user number.
We may ask you to complete a questionnaire to assess your knowledge of best practice in this area. This will be used to determine whether or not we can accept your registration without further training.
Please note that you will be registered with Catalyst Consulting/ A&DC Ltd as an individual. This does not confer any transferable right to an organisation, but you will be able to transfer your rights as an individual.
